Lot details Registration No: MRV 22Y Chassis No: SCD190199DC005686 Mot Expiry: Nov 2005
Made in 1983, this Series 6A version of the Reliant Scimitar GTE was first registered in 1983 and supplied by marque specialist Graham Walker in 1988 to the vendor, who says he has been only the second keeper of the right-hand drive sports-estate.
During his ownership, a new exhaust system in stainless steel has been fitted as has a new fuel tank, also in stainless steel. In October 1998, when the car had done some 100,000 miles, Scimitar Services of Tamworth overhauled the 2792cc capacity six-cylinder engine, at the same time carrying out a lead-free fuel conversion.
The chassis is described by him as being fairly sound, the GRP bodywork good, the silver/blue paintwork fair with some scuffs and the black velour interior a bit shabby. Apart from the radio, the electrical equipment is said to be serviceable and the four-speed manual gearbox, with overdrive available on third and top, reportedly in good order.
The mileage displayed when entered for the sale had risen to a believed genuine total of 122,380 miles since new. The latest MOT certificate will be current until the beginning of November and the tax disc valid until the end of October.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
