Lot details Registration No: EU-Reg Chassis No: R503919 Mot Expiry: Exempt
According to its bill of sale, chassis R503919 was supplied new via Melcher Nash of Elkhorn, Wisconsin to Frank H. Kliebhen of Milwaukee on 15th November 1949. One of just 50 known survivors (from a 1,000-strong production run), the 5/6-seater was first acquired by the vendor - a major Nash collector - in April 2008. Said to be a well-preserved car that has benefited from an older repaint, replacement soft-top and careful maintenance, the past six years have seen it rallied on both sides of the Atlantic. Having given chassis R503919 a through mechanical checkover, the vendor variously considers it to be `good' (paintwork), `very good' (electrical equipment), `very good / original' (bodywork, interior trim) or `excellent' (3.8-litre OHV straight-six engine, three-speed manual plus Borg Warner overdrive transmission). Highly collectible, this flagship Nash is offered for sale with French carte grise, assorted paperwork and photo depicting it alongside George Mason (then CEO of Nash Kelvinator).
