Lot details Registration No: JEN501P Chassis No: 2T12269BW Mot Expiry: Oct 2005
This 1976 Jaguar XJ6, a 4.2-litre model, is a late entry and therefore details were not received in time to appear in our main catalogue in glorious Technicolor. Clients need to be aware, however, of a number of noteworthy features
Firstly, the entrant tells us that the right-hand drive four-door has been in the ownership of the same family since 1982. Secondly, the cherished registration currently in place, which would be ideal for a `Jenny' of course, is included. Thirdly, on file, is a photograph of this car with the legendary founder of Jaguar, Sir William Lyons, at his Wappenbury Hall home. Fourthly, £1000 has been spent recently on mechanical items, there being a bill detailing work carried out included among the documents. And finally, JEN 501P will be sold today to the highest bidder in the hall as registration and motor car are being auctioned here today entirely without reserve!
Bodywork is described by the vendor as currently being in average shape with dark blue paintwork good, red leather interior average, and 4235cc capacity six-cylinder engine, three-speed automatic transmission and electrical equipment all reportedly in good order. The latest MOT applies until the end of October and the tax disc is valid until July.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
