One of the best-loved Morris Minor variants, the Traveller estate was introduced in 1953. Equipped with the same independent torsion-bar front suspension, hydraulic drum brakes and rack and pinion steering as its saloon sibling, it proved an equally enjoyable drive. Seemingly just as happy transporting horse feed or motorcycles as children and wet dogs, its foldable rear seat brought welcome extra versatility. A late Series V car, this particular example carries the 1098cc OHV, A-series, four-cylinder unit. With a reputed 48bhp and 60lbft of torque on tap, it is theoretically capable of over 70mph given enough determined stirring of its four-speed manual gearbox. Finished in light blue with blue upholstery, 'BLE 206B' is described by the vendor as being in "good" condition with regard to its engine and gearbox but to otherwise "need renovation". Reportedly with the last of its four owners for fifteen years, the Morris is said to have covered just 71,405 miles from new. Apparently treated to a "renewed clutch drive plate" some 2,000 miles ago, it is offered for sale entirely without reserve.
