Lot details Registration No: LAX 75 Chassis No: B234SR Mot Expiry: None
'LAX 75' is a home market Standard Steel model that vacated the Crewe factory in 1952 and is finished in Tudor over Shell Grey matched to a Red interior. The Bentley's first owner was F.C. Bagnall CBE, the Managing Director of British Nylon Spinners Ltd. Successive owners were involved in the body off restoration and engine overhaul that took place between 1989 and 2000. In the hands of the most recent keeper it has benefited from a transmission overhaul, attention to the suspension and new brake drums and radial tyres. The vendor reports "some localised blistering of the paintwork" and "slight noise from first gear" but says the engine is "smooth running" and the leather trim is in "very good condition".
