AJS offered three side valve 3.39hp models for the 1926 season, the G3 De Luxe Touring variant, the G5 Standard Sporting model and, as offered here, the G4 De Luxe Sporting. This particular machine was originally registered DD9028, although that registration number was retained by a previous owner and it now has an age related registration. It was owned during the 1950's by Felix Burke, a founding father of the Cotswold Section of the VMCC, who used it, often with his wife on the pillion, for local and national events before it passed to Arthur Mortimer who continued to use the machine in the manner to which it had become accustomed.
It was recently tidied up by Joe Fryer Kobi and is offered today in very good condition throughout. Last taxed and tested in June 2005 and is offered with some history.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
