Lot details Registration No: BNT464K Chassis No: AR*2410066 Mot Expiry: Sept 2017
- Believed to have been sold new in South Africa as an original right hand drive car
- Apparently comprehensively rejuvenated in South Africa in 2005 and owned by a car dealership director in Johannesburg
- Recently imported into England
With Alfa Romeo's Fusi claiming right hand drive 2000 GTV chassis numbers started at 2410001, it is probable that this GTV was only the 65th example of this beautiful Bertone designed car produced. Sold new to the car-friendly climate of South Africa, it is believed to have remained there until our vendor acquired it from the director of a Nissan car dealership in Johannesburg earlier this year and imported it into England. Reportedly still having its original service book, the GTV is believed to have been rejuvenated in 2005 and from the photograph of the floor seen here, it can be presumed that it was done to a very good standard. A colour sticker on the car indicates that it is finished in the striking colour known as Prototype Yellow that was made famous in period by the colour of the one-off Alfa Romeo 33/2 Coupe Speciale by Pininfarina, and the interior is trimmed in black vinyl. The odometer on this GTV displays just 90,500 kilometres (56,200 miles) and the car is described by the vendor as being in "excellent" condition in all respects. It has just been UK registered and we believe the MOT is valid until September 2017.
