One of the most desirable of all Michelin enamel signs produced, this rare rectangular, four coloured single-sided sign was produced on the continent in the late 1920's. Produced on flat steel, this colourful & highly attractive sign, features a yellow base enamel, with great pictorials of the early smoking bibendum, holding two narrow tyres, with 'Michelin' lettering to the central red flash. A totally correct & well preserved example, retaining a good level of gloss, save for some some scratching/ light fading in places. Some loss & chipping to the edges & around the mounting holes, otherwise superb. Approximately 50x20cm & highly striking. Approximately 60x45cm.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
