Supplied new to Derek Woodman Ltd of Blackpool for use as a demonstrator and serviced by them up until 27,896 miles (November 1993). Subsequently maintained by I.J. Woodburn of Preston and George's Garage of Warton. Later part of a private collection alongside a Ferrari, Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud and Range Rover and unused for thirteen years. Recently recommissioned with the following new parts: new discs and pads all round, 'rose bushes' replaced, new wheel bearings, new front suspension arms, new middle steering arm, new brake callipers, new handbrake shoes, new centre tie rod, new n/s steering arm and new batteries. Original handbooks and original sales brochure. Total mileage 140,000. The first driveable 8-Series (E31) prototype cost BMW some 2 million Deutschmarks in 1989!
