Yet another of the same museum's reserve collection, a mid-sixties Raleigh Moped , a type falling outside their remit and consequently offered at nil reserve to enable others to complete the 1965 machine's restoration to the road. Much more a proper moped with real, sprung forks, rather than the rigid push-bike type, which is always an identifier, this is an RM8 Mk2, one of the first 'twist-and-go' machines.
In the original grey and cream finish and looking to be unrestored, complete and including a manual, V5 plus old tax disc EAC 48C will be a satisfying project to undertake and ultimately enable a new owner to experience the joys of mid-20th century personal utility transport.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
