Built to special order by Rolls-Royce Motors Ltd and Penmans Engineering Ltd at a reputed cost of some £350,000, this very special Silver Spur Armoured Saloon was supplied new to the British Ambassador in Brussels. Offering B6 levels of protection, it was reportedly designed to withstand the following:

While, further noteworthy enhancements include a protected fuel tank (blast shielded), run-flat tyre system, Talk-In / Talk-Out public address system (to enable occupants to communicate with the outside world during an emergency), fixed windows, two hand held fire extinguishers (one front, one rear) and manual operation of the engine bay extinguisher (via the dashboard centre console).
Like all Silver Spurs from 1994 onwards, its 6,750cc V8 benefits from turbocharged induction and four-speed automatic transmission. Boasting specially upgraded brake and suspension assemblies to compensate for the extra weight, it is finished in royal blue with very soft tan leather upholstery. To left-hand drive specification it has covered just 80,000km (50,000 miles) from new. Described by the vendor as being in very good overall condition, it was Rolls-Royce agent maintained in Belgium. Riding on smart alloy wheels, this genuinely bombproof Rolls-Royce is expected to possess a new MOT certificate by the time of sale.
PLEASE NOTE: The vendor has also informed us that the engine was upgraded and turbocharged, the brakes/supension/wheels were upgraded and that the only owner was the British & Commonwealth Office. The vehicle also has an MOT until September 2006.
