This delightful Mercedes-Benz W123 saloon is finished in the super-rare factory colour code 934: China Blue. Reading just 117,000 miles, this car has been fortunate to have just one owner from new from 1980 to 2014.
This car boasts a very tidy engine bay, and an interior which is the epitome of crafted Mercedes quality, we are informed all its features are in correct and working order. The bodywork is said to be "good" with "good" paintwork whilst the transmission is described as "excellent".
The 2.3 litre petrol engine is said to be a delight, probably the smoothest four cylinder carburetted engine available in the late 1970s, with plenty of power where you need it offering easy cruising at the legal limit.
The interior appears extremely well preserved, sporting dark blue half-cloth, half-MB Tex seats which are complemented by woven carpets and an excellent headlining.
The car has an MoT until August 2015, and still carries its original warning triangle and first aid kit.
Four original colour-coded wheel trims complete a lovely package of both nostalgia and practicality - as practical classics go, this is the benchmark.
The car does not retain its original service book; however, there is a recent invoice for some recommissioning items, including:
- Engine oil and filter
- Driver's seat base repair
- 4x wheel alignment
- Tuning of carburettor
- Heater blower motor replacement
- New Varta battery
Offered with Swansea V5 document and MoT to August 18th 2015.
