With stay fresh for years styling that always seems to endure with their older cars rarely looking out of date, Mercedes-Benz model changes have a reputation for being more evolutionary than revolutionary. Most deservedly, the world famous three-pointed star has come to mean a symbol of engineering excellence from the way their engines are put together and last to the design of their door hinges.
According to the vendor of this Mercedes, the 1977 Stuttgart-built 350SE was owned by his father, sadly now deceased, and therefore has been known by him and his family since 1983. The 66,000 miles displayed when entered is believed by him to be the genuine total for the right-hand drive car.
Unused since 1999, and with no current MOT or tax disc, the four-door bodyshell is claimed to be very sound with few marks to the red paintwork. The beige leather and cloth interior is also said to be good as is the electrical equipment, and both 3499cc eight-cylinder motor and three-speed automatic transmission reportedly in good order.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
