BSA offered three variants of the A65 in Britain during 1967, the single carburettor Thunderbolt, the sporting Lightning equipped with two Amal Concentric carburettors and the range topping Spitfire aimed at the clubman. The Lightning proved popular combining good performance and flexibility with secure handling and braking.
Described as having good cycle parts, paint, brightwork, electrics and suspension, this 1967 example has recently benefited from a new battery and tyres and is fitted with electronic ignition. The engine and transmission are described as running reflecting the machines regular use and it is offered with a V5 document, current road fund licence and an MOT valid until the 26th Match 2007.
