Unfortunately missing the going to press deadline for our catalogue is this late-entered Bentley S2 Continental. The right-hand drive coupe with two-door bodywork by H J Mulliner was supplied new in 1960 to Ellis Stanning of Lloyds Pharmaceuticals Limited 20 January of that year with 1 AFC registration and full air-con, electric windows, two wing mirrors, Marchal Fulgar lamps with foot-switch and parking lights. The Bentley then passed through the hands of H A Fox, before being sold by marque specialists Jack Barclay 22 October 1971 to the Honourable William Grosvenor of Deanery Street in London's West End, before being shipped to the USA, from where it was brought back home by Paul Wood of P & A Wood.
Nowadays registered OSU 498, both cosmetic and mechanical condition are rated by the vendor to be good with the tyres described as new. The latest MOT test pass certificate will be current until February of next year and the historic vehicle eligible duty-exempt tax disc valid until next January. The vendor believes that the 102,845 miles displayed when entered for this sale to be the genuine total mileage for the car from new.
