This 1958-built Mercedes-Benz 190SL, a right-hand drive model, first came into the country from South Africa eight years ago. Acquired from Chelsea Cars, the two-door roadster was then run by a registered keeper until last November.
Current condition of chassis and bodywork are described by the entrant as being very good with red paintwork and tan interior also very good. The 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine is also reportedly in in very good order as are four-speed manual transmission and electrical equipment.
The latest MOT test pass certificate will be valid until the end of December and the historic vehicle eligible tax disc until the end of next January. Whilst the 119,250 miles displayed when entered for the sale is believed by the vendor to be the genuine total mileage for the car from new.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
