This machine was purchased by the vendor via a small ad in 1979. It had been discovered under a pile of sawdust in a derelict sawmill. On its acquisition the new owner under took a thorough restoration, the forks were rebuilt professionally, as were the wheels and the dynamo was overhauled. The cycle parts were grit blasted and enamelled and the plating renovated. Following the restoration the machine won the lightweight class in the Panther Owners Club concours for five years running. During the rebuild the vendor was offered a spare engine and gearbox from a 350cc Model 70. The motorcycle is currently fitted with the 350cc barrel and piston. Included with the machine are the original barrel and head together with a gearbox and dynamo.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
