Unveiled at the 1985 Geneva Motorshow, Bentley's Turbo R was based on the chassis of the Mulsanne and powered by a modified version of the engine from the Mulsanne Turbo. However, the newcomer proved to be rather more than the sum of its parts, causing the respected American magazine Motor Trend to describe it as, 'the first Bentley in decades deserving of the famous name'. This handsome seven-owner example has served as a wedding car for the last five years, which helps explain the relatively low mileage of 58,894. It is finished in the striking combination of Vermillion Red bodywork and Red-piped Parchment-coloured hide interior trim. It sports the Bentley mesh radiator grille, unmarked alloy wheels shod with White-wall tyres, wool over-mats, electric memory seats and Alpine stereo system. 'J451 TNF' has just been serviced and comes complete with brand new MOT, original Bentley book pack, a collection of invoices and a degree of service history.
