Introduced in January 1957, the Lambretta 150 LD MKIII was frugal, stylish and fun. Built around a reinforced spine frame equipped with sprung front forks and torsion bar rear suspension, its 150cc two-stroke engine was mated to a three-speed gearbox. With a giddy 6hp on tap, the Lambretta was reputedly capable of 55mph and 140mpg (even allowing for such luxuries as legshields, side panels and footboards, the LD was impressively light).
Finished in blue / white, this particular example has apparently been extensively restored. Thought to be to original specification throughout, it has yet to be UK registered.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
