Displayed at the 1999 British International Motorshow, this example of AC's graceful Aceca coupe is understood to be chassis number 1 of the three prototypes produced by the company's in-house design team. Having spent a period stored in a barn belonging to a family friend of the current owner, it was subsequently restored by the vendor's company. Over the next 15 months the work carried out by his workshop team included the fitting of a new cream leather interior, repainting of the fibreglass body and sourcing and fitment of a new ECU management system. The V8 power unit, bodywork and paintwork are now described as being in "good" condition whilst the electrics and interior trim are said to be "fair". Offered with Swansea V5 document, this unusual 'what-might-have-been' has a fresh MoT certificate at the time of cataloguing.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
