Lot details Registration No: Un-Reg Chassis No: 1S51952BW
Finished in red with black leather upholstery, this particular example is described by the vendor as having "good" coachwork except for "a small dent to the offside rear valance" and "excellent" paintwork "with a few minor stonechips". The automatic transmission is rated as "smooth and quiet" and the engine as "excellent with good oil pressure", while the interior trim is said to be "original" and the electrical equipment "OK". Supplied new to the vendor's late husband, the E-type was UK registered as `UYK 423M' in August 1973. Exported to Guernsey and re-registered as `45799' during 1997, it is understood to have been treated to over £15,000 worth of fettling in 2002 including "a respray, sundry replacement chromework, new wire wheels and suspension / brake overhauls". The odometer shows an unwarranted 65,705 miles but we are informed that just 3,000 of these have been covered since the 2002 refurbishment work.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
