Lot details Registration No: 211 BAF Chassis No: SRH13236 Mot Expiry: Sept 2004
The 1965-introduced Silver Shadow was the first Rolls-Royce model to employ unitary construction rather than a separate chassis and body. Offered here is a 1972 Crewe-built Silver Shadow, a righthand drive 4-door saloon.
Although some rust is evident around the wheelarches, the bodyshell is claimed to be very good with the brown or, as it is officially called, sable paintwork also very good and the beige leather interior said to be excellent. The 6750cc 8-cylinder engine and 3-speed automatic transmission as well as the electrical equipment are reportedly all in very good order.
The 65,950 miles displayed on the odometer when entered for this sale is believed by the vendor to be the genuine total mileage for the car from new, when it was originally registered 1 WBH, although re-registered at some time with the cherished registration currently on the car. The vendor tells us that this 211 BAF plate on the car is not subject to a transfer and is therefore included with the luxury saloon, which has lots of history on file.
