Lot details Registration No: Un-Reg Chassis No: 98650 Mot Expiry: Oct 2014
This smartly-presented left-hand drive MKI Jaguar spent decades in California before being repatriated during 2011 including 23 years with the same family in the dry climate of Manteca (some 75 miles east of San Francisco). Prior to selling it they apparently treated the car to a minor restoration and respray, and the vendor now views it as an "essentially rust free example that drives very well" and has "good" paintwork and interior trim. It is powered by a 190bhp version of the venerable 3.4 litre XK engine which drives through the desirable four-speed manual gearbox. The Jaguar has been dry stored since its duty-paid return to the UK and has apparently covered just 31 post-refurbishment miles. In preparation for the auction it was detailed and serviced by the renowned Ferrari and classic car specialist DK Engineering of Chorleywood, Herts and is now on the button and ready for a new home.
PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle has an MOT until October 2014.
PLEASE NOTE: The MOT certificate shows the Registration Number 'XBC 575', but there is no V5 Registration Document for this vehicle.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
