When Mercedes-Benz bring out a new SL roadster, the model range is going to be around for a very long time. Not only will the SL remain virtually unchanged in dealer showrooms for several years, but also examples will be seen being driven and enjoyed on the roads of the world for many decades after that.
This SL280 first left the Mercedes-Benz factory in Germany in the autumn of 1997, since when the sporting Grand Tourer, a right-hand drive two-door with characteristic ribbed factory side skirts, has had only two owners who have ensured that full service history has been faithfully recorded.

The 2799cc six-cylinder engine and transmission are reportedly in good order, and the red paintwork as well as the black leather interior are also said to be in good condition.
