H & H are indebted to the vendor for the following description :-

Announced in October 1982 at the Paris Salon, the new Ferrari 308 QV or Quattrovalvole 308 was a revelation. Sporting four-valve cylinder heads, it was credited with developing 237bhp at 7,000 rpm and 192 lbft of torque. Capable of sprinting from 0-60 in 5.7 seconds and to a top speed of 158 MPH, the QV had the raw speed to match its sublime Pininfarina-sculpted looks. They were built between 1982 and 1985 and only 3042 GTS Quattrovalvoles were produced making it an incredibly collectable vehicle. Further popularized by the Magnum PI television series, the Ferrari 308 QV is truly an icon and perhaps the most recognizable Ferrari of all time.

As Ferrari 308's continue to mature gracefully, the Quattrovalvoles have quickly become the most desirable model and this beautiful example with such lovely provenance would make a unique addition to any collection. Owned in a private collection in the United States since 1994, the vehicle was fully serviced then arrived in the U.K. in 2017 where it was transported to the Ferrari specialists at Spectrum Motor Centre (SMC) of Chester for inspection and pre-sale preparation. A full recommissioning including full belt service, upgrade of the air conditioning, new injectors and suspension bushings has been completed. The paint, believed to be original, and interior were professionally reconditioned as well. Only 200 miles have been covered since the refurbishment.

This truly suburb example of a much-loved model has covered just 57,664 miles and is adorned in signature glossy Ferrari Rosso Corsa red paint over a timeless tan interior with the classic open-air Targa top. Presented in excellent condition inside and out and fully serviced, this rare classic will not disappoint. Offered with manuals, toolkit, Targa cover, spare wheel, collection of invoices and a pair of keys. Please note that the vehicle is not currently registered in the United Kingdom so the title is available for first ownership and can be directly registered to the new keeper or exported globally if required. The UK duty has been paid.

All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
