The comparative scarcity of original Rocket Gold Stars combined with their reliance on Gold Star cycle parts and their reputation has resulted in original machines commanding prices that are now three times or more that of their siblings such as the Super Rocket. This has led to a number of machines being built using A10's as a basis that seek to evoke the spirit of the RGS without incurring the wrath of their creators wife or bank manager.
The example offered takes as its basis an A10 first registered in 1960. The engine fitted was rebuilt and is described as being a strong performer. Alloy rims, chrome mudguards, clip-ons, a siamesed exhaust and matching Chronometric instruments all add to the visual appeal which is further enhanced by a rare alloy fuel tank replicating the lines of the original Gold Star pattern. Offered with a Swansea V5C this attractive machine is the ideal mount for a blast to a favourite café.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
