A large photographic image, depicting the start of the 1955 British Grand Prix with the two Mercedes W196's and the Ferrari taking up the front row. Stirling Moss scored his first Grand Prix victory in the 1955 event, which made him the first British driver to win his home Grand Prix. This piece originally hung in the Topham family home & is of great importance to collectors of Aintree ephemera. The blown-up photographic image features slight flare in places & has been recently been reframed / glazed within a high quality wooden frame. The original frame is however included, together with a small plaque that affixes to bottom of the frame. Approximately 100x77cm.
