Following their normal practice of introducing a sports variant of an existing touring model, Triumph announced the unit construction T100A Tiger as sporting companion to the 5TA for the 1960 model season . In its initial form the model featured the then characteristic "bathtub" rear enclosure, however this was dropped in favour of a partial enclosure with the introduction of the T100SS during 1962 and was finally banished completely in 1964.
This machine was restored during the early 1980's and subsequently saw use on dry Sundays until 2002 when it was laid up. It is described as being in good condition cosmetically, the engine is believed to be excellent although it has not been run since 2002 and the electrical system and cycle parts are described in the same way. It is offered with some history relating to the restoration and subsequent and will require some light recommissioning prior to use.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
