Singer introduced the 848cc Junior at the 1926 London Motorshow. The model was soon offered in an array of body styles, including Two-Seater Tourer, Four-Seater Tourer, Sunshine Saloon, Coachbuilt Saloon, Fabric Saloon, 2+2 called the Sportsman's Coupe and a boat-tailed, wire wheeled Porlock Sports. By 1928 the Junior was mainly responsible for the company being Britain's third largest manufacturer of the day. The Porlock Sports offered features Green bodywork teamed with Green interior trim. It remained in its previous ownership for 40 years and has had just four keepers in total. Barn stored for many years, it was recommissioned in 2012 and is viewed by the vendor as having "very good" boat-tailed bodywork, paintwork and interior trim, and "good" four-cylinder engine and three-speed manual gearbox. It currently displays an unwarranted 57,588 miles and comes complete with the original log book, and tax disc valid until the end of October 2014.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
