Lot details Registration No: FS 7755 Chassis No: GYZ15 Mot Expiry: Exempt
Taken off test on August 28th 1933 and clothed by H.J. Mulliner of Chiswick as an elegant four-door, four-light saloon (using body number 4053), chassis number GYZ15 was supplied new to Dr G. Ritchie. Beginning life in Edinburgh (or so its `FS 7755' number plate would imply), the Rolls-Royce later migrated to Holland before being acquired by previous keeper Stephen Langton of Reigate during June 1982. In need of restoration by the time it entered the current ownership some four and a half years ago, the 20/25 appears to be substantially complete. Fitted with a correct-type but replacement powerplant (engine number V2M) which is reportedly free, the saloon seems to pleasingly retain much of its original Brown leather upholstery albeit that the front seat cushions have been retrimmed and various other repairs made. A dashboard plaque identifies the car as `Samantha' and her odometer shows an unwarranted 86,356 miles.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
