Lot details
The Abingdon-built MG 'Works Trials' cars were three PBs that formed the 1936 'Cream Cracker' Team. The technical specification of the Team cars differed from that of a standard PB, 939c 4-cylinder engine being fitted with a side-mounted Marshall 75 supercharger supplied by twin electric fuel pumps and they were painted in the striking works colours of brown over cream with brown leather seats and twin spare wheels on the back. This lot comprises the touring registration documents for all three 'JB' cars allowing them to travel to and compete in France, obtained by Cecil Kimber of Bondary House, Abingdon on Thames. Rare, important early MG documentation. (4)
