Lot details Registration No: JU 3932 Chassis No: 190486 Mot Expiry: Feb 2014
1 of c.400 EB Type 65s made. How long first owner Hilda Marjorie Johnson of Balby kept 'JU 3932' is unknown but an accompanying continuation buff logbook shows that it belonged to Robert Horsnell of Beeston by the late 1950s. Passing through the hands of Marjorie Horsnell, Peter Hennell, John Finch and Michael Kilgannon among others thereafter, the Austin had been laid-up for many years and lost its original engine/gearbox before entering the current ownership. A testament to the vendor's experience with Sevens, the subsequent 'ground up' restoration not only preserved the original chassis but also most of the aluminium bodywork and steel wings. Fitted with a replacement but correct-type Sports engine and more user-friendly synchromesh transmission, 'JU 3932' is MOT'd until February 2014.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
