Lot details Registration No: PKF889F Chassis No: P130-026818 Mot Expiry: Sept 2005
This 1966 Nissan 2000 Deluxe Six righthand drive saloon was imported from Zimbabwe twenty-two years ago, has been in present ownership for the past sixteen years and has been restored during the last fifteen of them. Japanese car enthusiasts will be aware that this was the first Nissan designed by Italian Pininfarina and the last Nissan/Datsun model to have an Austin derived engine, in this case a 1997cc six.
As you will see today, PKF 889F is stunning both cosmetically and mechanically, with four-door bodyshell, black paintwork, interior in period-correct plastic leatherette, J20 engine and four-speed manual transmission with column-change as well as the electrical equipment all reportedly in excellent order.
In short, the owner claims, his car is Museum quality and is one of only two concours standard models like this in the whole of Western Europe. Even the 1966 radio, upgraded to included FM, AM and shortwave, is in full working order, whilst the 112,500 mileage displayed when entered is believed by the vendor to be the correct total.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
