Lot details Registration No: T.B.A. Chassis No: CD2745 Mot Expiry: Nov 2014
The TR250 was effectively a TR5 for the American market, whose engine was fed by a pair of Zenith-Stromberg carburettors. With 111bhp on tap, the model could achieve the 0-60mph sprint in 10.6 seconds. A total of 8,484 examples were made. This lefthand drive example is finished in Primrose Yellow and trimmed in Black vinyl. It has recently been the subject of a chassis up restoration, during which: the engine was fully overhauled and fitted with modified cylinder head and valves, SU carburettors and stainless steel exhaust; the gearbox was refurbished and a new clutch installed; the brake pipes and suspension replaced; new seats and carpet etc were fitted together with a fresh tonneau cover. The vendor unsurprisingly now classes the six-cylinder engine and four-speed manual transmission as 'perfect' and the bodywork, paintwork, and interior trim as 'excellent'. This very pretty Triumph is being offered complete with 12 months' tax and MOT.
