1919 was a boom period for motorcycle manufacturer's, demand for machines from returning servicemen far exceeded supply. Into an already heated market came the scooter, many were crude machines designed in a hurry with more thought given to exploiting a strong market than meeting their users needs however, some, such as the Unibus, Reynolds Runabout and the ABC Skootamotor were well conceived machines capable of providing effective local transport that deserved to prosper. Unfortunately, within eighteen months the scooter market had collapsed, its end brought on by the ill-conceived examples, which damned them all, and the increasing availability of conventional lightweight motorcycles.
This example of the single cylinder overhead valve powered Skootamota is described as being in very good condition mechanically and good cosmetically. The machine is offered without documentation.
