One of the most imposing & attractive bronze car mascots ever produced; 'The Struggle' by Charles Paillet, this mascot dates from c1925 and was created by sculptor Charles Paillet. Featured in 'Motoring Mascots of the World', this mascot measures seven & one quarter inches high. This sculpture shows an eagle landing on top of a naked man above a road car wheel. Signed to the base 'A.E.L' (standing for A.E. Le Jeune, the manufacturer of the piece) & offered in very good condition, with some traces of original plating still present. Remarkably, a similar example of this piece changed hands for close to $10,000 in the USA approximately 12 months ago.
