Alvis started making the TA21 and TC21/100 replacement model, the TD21, during 1958. Amply powered by a triple SU aspirated version of their trusty 3-litre six, which was rated at 120bhp, the TD21 was produced until late in 1963 by when a total of 1060 cars had been built.
Offered here is a righthand drive TD21 which first left the Alvis works in 1961. According to the owner, the Coventry classic has been a lovely useable classic which can cruise effortlessly and keep up with modern traffic. On file, he says, is good service history backed up by invoices in the documents file.
The current condition of Park Ward crafted 2-door bodywork and paintwork as well as red leather interior is described as good. The 2993cc 6-cylinder motor is claimed to be in good order and the 4-speed manual transmission OK, although first gear is reportedly noisy. The MOT test certificate is current until October and the tax-exempt disc does not run out until the end of the year.
