Matchless produced a new range of singles for the 1935 season, which included 250, 350 and 500cc variants in single and twin port configurations with sporting derivatives to follow, and of course it was the G3 that went on to become a faithful companion to a lot of military personnel during the Second War.
The machine offered is thought to be of 350ccs and date from 1938, though documentary confirmation was not available at the time of cataloguing.
Condition is described by the vendor to be 'good honest bike and largely original.'
Pre-war Matchless are no longer a common site and this machine represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a decent pre-war mount.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
