The Segrave Trophy is an annual award presented by the Royal Automobile Club to the British National that accomplishes the most outstanding demonstration of the possibilities of transport by land, sea or air.
Past recipients include Malcolm Campbell, John Cobb, Donald Campbell and more recently Lewis Hamilton.
Part of the estate of the late Brian Trubshaw CBE 1970, who's illustrious career included flying Stirlings and Lancasters with the Bomber Command during WWII, later joining the King's Flight, piloting King George VI and other members of the Royal Family.
The award is of bronze construction and inscribed 'Awarded to Brian Trubshaw CBE 1970'; manufactured by John Pinches, London - the piece is offered within it's original red leather box.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
