Lot details Registration No: PV 9719 Chassis No: R-0-610-1664 Mot Expiry: Sept 2013
The Land Rover was intended to be a short-term project, yet is still with us 65 years later. An early example, 'PV 9719' is a right-hand drive model from 1949 that was the subject of a ground up restoration in the early '80s before forming part of a private collection. It is apparently still equipped with the correct 1600cc petrol engine and original Ipswich registration - 'PV 9719' - and sports the optional spade back seats and lights behind the grille. The bodywork is finished in Blue, and the vendor describes all major aspects of the vehicle as being in "good" condition and believes it to have had just two previous owners from new. He also considers the recorded mileage of 55,000 to be correct.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
