Further Info:
Notable as the first AMG model to be manufactured (rather than completed) at the famous tuner's Affalterbach facility, the C43 was also the first C-Class to be powered by Mercedes-Benz's mighty M113 engine. Developing a quoted 306bhp / 302lbft of torque, the naturally aspirated V8 was allied to five-speed automatic transmission. Reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds and an electronically limited 155mph, the super saloon was only in production from 1997-2000 by which time some 4,200 had been sold worldwide.
The late Richard Colton became the fourth owner of chassis 842479 when he bought it through Mercedes-Benz's Signature Used Cars scheme for £16,855 on March 20th 2003. The accompanying documentation includes a service booklet which shows that the C43 AMG underwent maintenance work at 13,542, 27,789, 29,271, 41,814, 45,771, 55,963, 67,492 and 72,845 miles. The super saloon's odometer currently shows some 80,100 miles. Riding on AMG alloys and trimmed in Black leather, this rare high-performance Mercedes-Benz is offered for sale with book pack, sundry invoices and MOT certificate valid until November 2015.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
