Lot details Registration No: Un-Reg Chassis No: 48854 Mot Expiry: None
Purchased by the vendor's father in 1966, when "almost completely restored", the work was never completed and the car has spent the last 46 years in dry storage. We are advised that its condition has deteriorated over the years although it is "mainly complete apart from the hood, the wooden hoops that support it, the wooden running boards and parts of the wooden floor". Other sundry items of interior trim are also missing although the "folding bonnet, headlight casings and seats are all present". The 4-cylinder engine is "in decent order" but "incomplete". The vendor describes the bodywork and paintwork as "reasonable" whilst the condition of the gearbox is "unknown". Now offered as a rewarding restoration project, it is accompanied by an extensive history file, including letters, photographs, wiring diagrams and handbook.
PLEASE NOTE: The vendor has advised that he has one headlamp cowling for the vehicle, which he will send to the successful purchaser. The vehicle is sold strictly as viewed and without the headlight casings mentioned in the catalogue.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
