The MKI Interceptor's luxurious standard specification included electric windows, reclining seats, wood-rim steering wheel, radio with twin speakers, electric clock and reversing lights. Production ran for some three years before the model was supplanted by the only mildly modified MKII version. The MIII variant followed two years later and was still in manufacture when the company entered receivership in 1976, by which time a total of 6,408 Interceptors are understood to have been built.
'OJF 789F' is resplendent in the combination of White bodywork and contrasting Black leather interior. A righthand drive example, it is considered by the vendor to feature 'good' bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, V8 engine and automatic gearbox and is being offered complete with: its original purchase receipt from Charles Follet Ltd of Mayfair, London; a collection of service receipts, general paperwork and old MOTs dating back to when the Jensen was new.
PLEASE NOTE: This lot comes with copies of its original build / order records including a copy of its original sales invoice from Jensen Motors to Charles Follett Ltd of Mayfair. It is also accompanied by copy maintenance invoices relating to its first few years and sundry old MOTs dating back to 1986 at an indicated 82,019 miles.
