Lot details Registration No: RFE666K Chassis No: 453623 Mot Expiry: Feb 2005
Offered here is a 1972 Tamworth-built Reliant Scimitar SE 5A, an utterly straightforward British classic and a really practical to own model which represents outstanding value. We understand that the Ford 3-litre V6 was rebuilt some 30,000 miles ago, whilst alternator, water pump and some of the chrome including door handles have been renewed. Steel chassis is said to be in good condition, GRP bodywork very good, paintwork in April yellow and black interior both good, motor excellent, electrical equipment good and 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive in sound order having never given any problems.
The owners tell us that RFE 666K has proved to be a very reliable motor car, having served well as a daily driver for eight years and only recently having been replaced with a Reliant Sabre. The 134,862 miles displayed when entered is believed by them to be the genuine total mileage since their sports-hatch was new. Both MOT certificate in the documents file and tax-exempt licence disc on the screen will not need renewing until early next year.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
