- Desirable and rare manual pre-HE model
- Only 70,000 recorded and credible miles
- MOT May 2019
Introduced in Autumn 1975, the XJS replaced the immortal E-Type on the production lines and in the Jaguar catalogue. Powered by the famously silken 5343cc V12 engine, most were produced with automatic transmission, however this example is a rarer, pre-HE, manual example produced in 1977. Further development in the model included the introduction of the Cabriolet model in October 1983, together with a brand new 3.6 litre engine, and then the launch of a full Convertible body style in April 1988.
Finished in white with a blue leather interior, this example is believed but not warranted to have covered just 70,000 miles from new, being restored around 10 years ago and being in the possession of the current owner for a similar length of time. It will be offered for auction with an extensive history file and documents, and carries an MOT certificate until May 2019. According to the Jaguar pre-HE register , this is one of only 76 cars Worldwide recorded.
