Lot details
Registration No: ULR 105
Chassis No: 98108
Mot Expiry: Nov 2017

The Conquest first saw the light of day in the Spring of 1953. Its chassis and running gear were developments of those underpinning the Lanchester 14, and power came from a 2,433cc straight-six engine producing 75bhp. Until 1956, Conquests were only available with Daimler's renowned four-speed preselector gearbox, however, from then onwards, there was the option of a conventional automatic unit which, when chosen, was paired with the more powerful 100bhp engine of the Conquest Century. This very handsome automatic transmission Conquest was first registered to a Mrs Annie Gould of Surrey and is finished in the pleasing combination of Silver over Blue after recently being re-painted and is trimmed in Blue leather. The indicated mileage of just 21,500 is believed genuine, the Daimler having been family owned for many years and by just three keepers since. It comes complete with original owner's handbook and service manual, service parts catalogue, original brown log book, collection of invoices and old MOTs.
