We are indebted to the Vendor for the following information:
This car was manufactured as a left-hand drive export model and re-imported back to the UK in December 1955, when it was first registered in London in July 1957 as QF 6607. It remained in the South of England until 1973, when it was placed into storage until I purchased it from a private vendor as a project in 2010. It has since been the subject of a total, bare chassis rebuild with new ash framework where required and has had a colour change from red with tan interior to the current off-white and maroon livery. The engine is the original 1497cc twin carburettor unit. The restoration was completed in December 2018 and the car was re-registered with the more age-appropriate UK number of 708 XVC.
Since being re-commissioned, the car has covered approximately 250km and having attended three classic car shows, has been awarded two firsts and a second prize placing. The highlight was winning the award for top Roadster at the annual Singer National Day at Blenheim Palace in June 2019. Beautiful new full leather upholstery and maroon carpets. Car is in excellent condition and starts/drives very well.
Please Note: The badges on the front badge bar are NOT included in sale.
