The late 1940's witnessed the emergence of a new class of powered two wheeler with appearance of the moped. Technical developments had seen the power output of two strokes increase to the point that a 49cc engine became a viable option offering performance on a par with the 98cc power units employed in auto cycles during the pre war period. Engine manufacturers such as Sachs made power units available to the multitude of small companies that sought to capitalise from the explosion in demand for cheap personal transport. One such firm was Gorrion in Spain who commenced production of Sachs powered mopeds in 1952. Like many of their rivals the new concern did not last long ceasing production in 1955.
The machine offered features a drop tube open rigid frame equipped with blade girder forks and a rear carrier. Drum brakes are fitted front and rear as is a lighting set and the machine is attractively presented having been restored.
