Lot details Registration No: NLC 829 Chassis No: B260SR Mot Expiry: Exempt
This special-bodied Bentley is number 10 of 16 built by Johnard of Blandford, Dorset between 1975 and 1982. We are informed it has had very little use, with the odometer reading just over 7250 miles since construction. NLC 829 is featured in Ray Roberts' book 'Bentley Specials and Special Bentleys' and listed as a 1952 'R' type conversion to 'Donington' specification, on chassis number B260SR, with engine number B130S.
The vendor advises the car has outstanding traction, resulting from a combination of LSD, anti-tramp suspension and rearward weight distribution and that following a recent engine overhaul it requires running-in. Understood to be eligible for BDC events, this exciting Bentley is finished in Carmen Red with black leather, fold-flat screen, luggage rack and hood. Offered with Swansea V5 and assorted old MoTs, it is MoT exempt.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
