A rare 31 page post-war Italian magazine, dated 10th April 1953, covering the story of Tazio Nuvolari's life. Well illustrated throughout, with monotone photographs of Nuvolari taking part in sporting (non-motoring events). Originally priced at 50 Lire & now offered in well-read original condition, with some wear to the spine of the publication. Seldom seen, with Italian text throughout. Tazio Nuvolari was the 1932 European Champion & is ranked as many as the greatest Grand Prix driver of all time. Together with a rare 63 page Italian magazine, dated '26 Gennaio 1952', covering the story of Alberto Ascari's racing career. Well illustrated, with sensational action photographs of him racing, text relating to his father Antonio, plus great advertisements from the period. Offered in good original condition, with wear to the spine & Italian text throughout. Born in Milan, Alberto was the son of Antonio Ascari, a talented Grand Prix motor racing star in the 1920s, racing Alfa Romeos. Antonio was killed while leading the French Grand Prix in 1925 but the younger Ascari had an interest in racing in spite of it. His racing career started out on two wheels, but it was after he entered the prestigious Mille Miglia in a Ferrari that his motor car racing career began.
